The Black Cat Market hosts board game night in Pittsburgh
Board games and cats? What a grand evening to look forward to.
Hold on, you said board games!
You heard right. The cafe owners are having their first board game night, they plan on holding one each month. I found this event by The Black Cat Market (@BlackCatMarket) on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/events/305825600243943/.
Who Are These People
I called up to talk to the manager and sure enough Olivia Ciotoli or “Livy” answers herself. She is wonderfully, warm and engaging, I had trouble hanging up the phone and not chatting for another half hour with her.
This charming little coffee shop has a cat room in the rear with a glass window for you to peer in and see all the sweet kitties needing forever homes. Black Cat Market works with the local shelter to help these cats find the person for them.
I loved the atmosphere and cozy layout of the coffee shop. I was completely won over by their mission to see these homeless cats have a chance at being adopted. There was a nice gathering of about 15 people that attended the board game event. I was delighted to see board games i know sitting out on the counter so anyone could get to them. There was a nice mix of gamers at that showed; it appeared that only a few showed that were unfamiliar with these designer games. The cafe had a nice selection of teas and coffees for people attending.
We played (to name a few)
These good people are taking up a collection to donate to the Tree of Life – Squirrel Hill Massacre fund.
You will really enjoy the experience of the next game night or visit to this place.
